Being a redhead, I love Klein blue and emerald green. I could not resist and took a picture of Galleria Vittorio Emanuele’s Prada flagship store, with all the turquoise and electric yellow stripes. Every six months Miuccia Prada dictates the fashion’s agenda.
This year I would say she was not alone, Phoebe Philo initiated a very Parisian and linear trend at Céline. The proof that both trends stand on equal footing is the fact that Zara picked up on both schemes, offering both Pradaesque stripey crepe t-shirts with sombreros and Célinese belle de jour shoulder handbags.
StripedCat of course would go for both extremes: the cheeky Prada stripes on one side and the understated Céline handbag on the other. Not in the same day, of course.
